Katy Perry’s ‘Unconditionally’ Lyric Video: Song Influenced by Boyfriend John Mayer

Katy Perry’s lyric video for her new single, “Unconditionally,” has debuted. The simple but powerful visual reveals the song’s emotionally charged lyrics which she says were influenced by her boyfriend, John Mayer. “Unconditionally” is the second single of the 28-year-old pop music superstar’s new album, “Prism.” The song leaked to the Internet a few days ahead of its official release but now she has premiered the lyric video announcing it via Twitter: “The #UNCONDITIONALLY lyric video is starring Janell Shirtcliff & Erika Linder. Directed by Aya Tanimura! Love these ladies!!!” She co-wrote it with the hitmaker producers and songwriters Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Cirkut. It has powerful affirm lines underscoring its premise of unconditional love.
