Best Buy is taking pre-orders for the new Apple iPad, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is on sale for $300 through March 10. It's also on Amazon for that price (Wi-Fi only). The question is whether or not to grab the Samsung on sale instead of waiting for the iPad launch. True, the iPad is a larger device, but it's also $500. As the name implies, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a seven-inch tablet. It runs the Google Android system, a different software package than what's on the iPad.?
Besides being smaller and less expensive, there are plenty of other differences between these powerful tablets. For example, the Samsung offers no 4G LTE support, a feature found on the new iPad for the first time. T-Mobile does sell a 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, but you'd be paying their off contract price or buying a data plan and two year contract.
